Online Tajweed classes are specialized, interactive sessions designed to teach you the linguistic rules and phonetic precision required to recite the Holy Quran exactly as it was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Rather than just reading, Tajweed focuses on giving every letter its due right (Haqq) and its descriptive features (Mustahaqq).
Through our virtual classrooms, students in North America can access elite, certified Quran tutors in Egypt without leaving their homes.
Master the precise art of Tajweed with live, private 1-on-1 sessions led by native Arab scholars, specifically designed to help non-Arabic speakers recite the Holy Quran with perfect phonetic accuracy.
Learn from teachers whose first language is Arabic. Our tutors hold highly esteemed Ijazahs and have spent years mastering Quranic phonetics, ensuring you learn the exact articulation from the source.
Tajweed cannot be mastered through pre-recorded videos. We emphasize real-time, face-to-face interaction via Zoom so your teacher can hear your recitation and provide immediate, personalized correction.
We take the guesswork out of learning. Our curriculum is a proven, step-by-step roadmap that takes you from the foundational alphabet to advanced theoretical rules and eventual Ijazah certification.
Whether you are a native English speaker with no prior Arabic knowledge or an intermediate reader looking to polish your Tilawah, our bilingual tutors adjust their teaching methods to fit your exact level.
Balancing school, work, and family in the US is demanding. We offer 24/7 scheduling flexibility, allowing you to book classes early in the morning, late at night, or over the weekend.
Our tutors specialize in helping non-native speakers overcome heavy accents, retraining the tongue to confidently pronounce difficult Arabic letters like Kha (خ), Ayn (ع), and Dhad (ض).

Mubarak Academy serves diverse student profiles, each with a dedicated Tajweed pathway, personalized teaching approach, and phonetic correction plan tailored to individual goals, age, and accent background.
No Arabic background required. This track begins from the alphabet level, building phonetic confidence letter by letter in a patient, structured environment. Within weeks, students progress from recognizing script to producing accurate sounds.
Many Muslims recite daily but carry subtle phonetic habits formed without formal instruction. This track identifies those patterns, breaks them through targeted drills, and grounds the student in the scholarly reasoning behind each rule.
Our instructors apply specialized pedagogical methods for young students — using visual tools, positive reinforcement, and shorter structured sessions to maintain engagement and build a correct phonetic foundation that lasts a lifetime.
Students whose native language is English, French, Urdu, or any other non-Arabic language face unique phonetic challenges. Our tutors are experienced in identifying accent-based errors and providing targeted correction that speaks to the student's specific phonetic background.
Female students learn in fully private, comfortable sessions taught exclusively by qualified female Al-Azhar-certified Arab scholars, creating a comfortable, focused, and supportive environment to master Tajweed rules.
Adults with career or family responsibilities benefit from efficient Tajweed correction sessions designed to fit around a busy week. Flexible scheduling options make consistent learning stress-free and manageable.

Our structured curriculum moves systematically from foundational phonetics to advanced recitation technique. Every rule is taught live, with real-time correction, so mastery is built through practice — not passive memorization.
Makharij Al-Huruf (مخارج الحروف) refers to the precise anatomical exit points from which each Arabic letter is produced — covering the throat, tongue, lips, nasal passage, and oral cavity. Confusing phonetically similar letters — such as the soft Haa (ﻩ) and the guttural Haa (ح) — constitutes a Lahn Jali error. Students learn to isolate and produce each letter correctly through live tutor demonstrations, visual diagrams, and repetitive auditory feedback. This module forms the non-negotiable foundation of every learn tajweed online program at Mubarak Academy.

Noon Sakinah (نون ساكنة) refers to the vowelless letter Noon, and Tanween (تنوين) to the double-vowel endings that produce a hidden nasal sound. When these sounds precede different Arabic letters, four transformation rules apply: Idhar (clear pronunciation), Idgham (merging), Iqlab (converting to a Meem sound), and Ikhfa (partial concealment). Mastering these four transformations produces a recitation that flows without abrupt stops or phonetic collisions.
The vowelless Meem (ميم ساكنة), when followed by other Arabic letters, follows three governing rules. Idhar Shafawi (labial clarification) requires the Meem to be pronounced cleanly and distinctly. Ikhfa Shafawi (labial concealment) calls for a gentle nasal suppression before the letter Baa. Idgham Shafawi (labial merging) blends two consecutive Meems into a resonant nasal sound. These rules are essential to the rhythmic character of Quranic recitation.
Madd (مد) governs how long a reciter must stretch a vowel sound when it encounters a letter of prolongation. Four primary categories are taught: Madd Tabee'i (natural two-count elongation), Madd Muttasil (mandatory connected elongation), Madd Munfasil (permissible disconnected elongation), and Madd Lazim (obligatory six-count elongation). Incorrect elongation — whether rushed or over-extended — disrupts the structural tempo of each verse and constitutes a recitation error.
Qalqalah (قلقلة) produces a distinct rebounding echo when the five letters Qaaf (ق), Ta (ط), Baa (ب), Jeem (ج), and Daal (د) appear with a Sukun or at the end of a recited verse. Three gradations apply — Qalqalah Sughra (minor), Wusta (medium), and Kubra (major) — each producing a different intensity of resonance. This rule is responsible for the powerful, rhythmic quality that distinguishes authentic Quranic recitation.
Waqf (وقف) and Ibtida (ابتداء) form the breath-control and punctuation system of Quranic recitation. The Quran does not use standard punctuation; instead, symbolic letters printed above the Arabic text — such as Meem (م) for a mandatory stop and Jeem (ج) for a permissible pause — guide the reciter. Stopping at a prohibited point can alter the theological meaning of a verse. This module teaches students to read these symbols fluently, manage their breathing, and resume recitation with proper retrospective repetition.
Certain Arabic letters are always heavy (Tafkheem), others always light (Tarqeeq), and some shift based on context — including the letter Raa and the name of Allah ﷻ. This final module trains the student's voice to switch between registers naturally, giving the recited verses the authentic tonal quality and beauty recognized by Arab scholars.
